Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung receives Chairman of Korea CEO Summit

Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung had a meeting with Mr. PARK Bong Kyu - Chairman of Korea CEO Summit on October 20^th, in presence of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in Korea Nguyen Vu Tung; Chairman of Vietnam Urban Development Planning Association Tran Ngoc Chinh; leaders of units under the Ministry of Construction.

Mr PARK Chairman Bong Kyu thanked Mr Le Quang Hung and leaders of Ministry of Construction for warmly welcome and also said: “Korea is going to organize Urban - Culture - Convergence Forum in Vietnam which will take place in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City toward the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam”.

The forum will include many contents related to smart city development, environment (urban area); cinema, food, fashion (Culture) and a series of activities to promote the friendship between the two countries. According to President PARK Bong Kyu, the Korean side has worked with Vietnamese ministries, branches and functional units related to the event and received a positive response. The Korean side hoped that leaders of the Ministry of Construction and specialized units under the Ministry attended this event to exchange smart city development issues in Vietnam, especially in the context of the establishment of Vietnam - Korea cooperation center on smart cities and construction technology.

Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung expressed his pleasure to welcome Chairman PARK Bong Kyu and delegation of Korea CEO Summit and agreed with Korea CEO Summit about activities toward the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Korea and Vietnam, especially smart cities issue as one of the key contents of the Urban - Culture - Convergence Forum. Ministry of Construction would assign relevant specialized units such as the Department of Urban Development and the Department of International Cooperation to jointly participate in order to strengthen and promote cooperation between the Ministry of Construction and Korean partners.
