The Ministry of Construction cooperated with the Center for Urban and Industrial Environment - Vietnam Association of Built Environment and Panasonic Corporation to organize a workshop “Solution to design, install and use equipment to ensure indoor air quality in buildings” in presence of representatives of state management agencies, enterprises, experts and consultants on November 2nd. Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment Nguyen Cong Thinh chaired the workshop.

The workshop is one of the events in the series of Vietnam Green Building Week events in 2022, with the aim to disseminate the contents of TCVN 13521:2022 Housing and public houses - Indoor air quality parameters and introducing and sharing experience, policies, and technical solutions to meet the requirements for air quality in buildings.

According to a number of studies by scientists, air pollution caused by fine dust PM2.5 indoors is sometimes 2-3 times higher than outdoors. While 80% of the day, people live indoors. This is also the reason for the Ministry of Science and Technology to issue TCVN 13521: 2022, which stipulates many important contents in the design, construction, management and operation of buildings to ensure comfortable conditions and health for users.

At the workshop, experts and scientists actively discussed, shared experiences, policies, technical solutions to ensure meeting the requirements of air quality in the buildings.
