Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van had a meeting with Counselor of the Danish Embassy Troels Jakobsens and Vice Chairman of LEGO Group cum General Director of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd Preben Elnef on December 19th, 2022, at the Ministry of Construction’s headquarter.

At the meeting, Mr. Troels Jakobsens thanked the leaders of the Ministry of Construction for warm welcome and work with the Danish delegation, and said that: “LEGO Group is a world famous manufacturer of children's toys. The LEGO toy factory project in Binh Duong province is the largest investment project ever by a Danish enterprise in Vietnam and the second largest in Asia. The project will also contribute to promoting friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark.”
LEGO Group Vice Chairman Preben Elnef said, up to now, LEGO Group has received the investment license, business license and is continuing to complete the procedure for applying for a construction permit. It is expected that the project will be completed and put into operation in 2024.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van highly appreciated the friendly cooperation between the Ministry of Construction and the Danish Embassy and Danish agencies, units and businesses over the past time; and also emphasized that the MoC always supported and created favorable conditions for LEGO Group to effectively deploy projects and contribute to promoting cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark in general and economic development of Binh Duong province in particular.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van directed the Construction Management Department to answer and guide LEGO Group in completing the procedure for applying for a construction permit accordance with current procedures and regulations.
According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van, LEGO Group also actively contacts and works with Binh Duong authorities to receive specific and timely instructions, complete all relevant procedures and ensure the project implemented on schedule in compliance with Vietnamese laws.
