The First Vice-President warmly welcomed the Vietnamese delegation’s visit to Cuba to attend the 28th session of the Vietnam-Cuba Inter-governmental Committee for economic, scientific and technological cooperation.
He highly appreciated the good results of the session as a practical contribution to strengthening mutual understanding, solidarity and friendship between the two countries.
He emphasised the importance of sharing experience in economic development and socialist construction, and sincerely thanked Vietnam for having supported and cooperated with Cuba.
After conveying the regards of the Vietnamese Party and State leaders to their Cuban counterparts, Minister Nguyen Hong Quan voiced strong support for Cuba in all fields, especially in ensuring food security in the country.
While in Cuba, Minister Quan had a working session with Ramiro Valdez, Vice President of the Council of State, Ricardo Cabrisas, Vice President of the Cuban Council of Ministers, and other Ministers of Foreign Trade and Investment, Tourism, Agriculture, Construction, and Information Science and Communication.
