Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh resceives Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kusto Group

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh had a meeting and worked with Mr. Yerkin Tatishev - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kusto Group in the presence of leaders of units under the Ministry of Construction and Kusto Group on August 8^th, 2022.

Chairman Yerkin Tatishev thanked Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh and leaders of units under the Ministry of Construction for spending time working with the Kusto Group Delegation. Kusto Group operates in the field of real estate, construction and building materials, and logistics, headquartered in Singapore and currently operates in 10 countries around the world. Kusto Group has been operating in Vietnam for more than ten years, and interesting to learn more about the investment environment, social housing development and applying modern science and technology in large-scale construction projects.

Chairman Yerkin Tatishev also shared experiences on social housing development of some countries such as Kazakhstan, Singapore, and updated some preferential policies for businesses to invest in social housing projects.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh emphasized the interest of the Government and Prime Minister of Vietnam on housing development, including social housing and said that Vietnamese Government recently held a conference "Advancing promote the development of social housing for workers and low-income people”. At the conference, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Construction to coordinate with other ministries and sectors to draft and submit to the Government a project to build 1 million social housing apartments for workers and low-income people, in the period from now until 2030.

The Ministry of Construction is focusing on reviewing, amending, supplementing and perfecting the system of legal documents in order to remove difficulties and obstacles and to call and encourage businesses and people in participating in investment and development of social housing. In addition, the Ministry of Construction always welcomes and creates the best conditions for foreign enterprises to invest and do business in Vietnam, in accordance with current Vietnamese laws.
