The Ministry of Construction coordinated with the Korean Embassy to Vietnam to organize a seminar with Korean construction enterprises on the construction law on August 8th. Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - Director of the International Cooperation Department (under the Ministry of Construction) and Mr. Kim You In - Construction Counselor of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam chaired the seminar.

The seminar is one of specific activities to implement the discussion between Vietnam's Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi and Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Park Noh Wan, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Embassy, Associations and Korean businesses to remove difficulties in business investment activities in Vietnam.
In the field of construction, the Ministry of Construction and Korean partners, especially the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, have enhanced cooperation and achieved many positive results in building legal policies on social housing, urban development in general and smart cities in particular; supporting the Ministry of Construction in the process of formulating the Housing Law (amended), the Law on Real Estate Business (amended); funding ODA technical assistance projects in the areas of planning, housing and urban development.

Counselor Kim You In spoke at the seminar
At the seminar, the two sides discussed and answered concerns and problems related to the organization's operational capacity certificate, certification of fireproof paint, regulations on fire prevention and fighting; legal procedures related to a number of housing development projects in Vietnam and some contents related to the law of the Construction industry.
At the end of the seminar, Director General Nguyen Trung Thanh thanked the delegates for attending the seminar. Ministry of Construction always encourages, supports and creates favorable conditions for Korean enterprises to join in investment projects in Vietnam through organizing conferences and seminars to introduce new legal policies in the field of construction investment, creating conditions in licensing foreign contractors in Vietnam, including large Korean enterprises such as: Samsung Group, Lotte Group, LH Corporation.
In addition, Director General Nguyen Trung Thanh and Counselor Kim You In agreed to have more in-depth working sessions for each Korean construction enterprise and relevant agencies of the Ministry of Construction, in order to further strengthen the cooperation relationship between two sides in the coming time.
